Local hands. Old school standards.

True Blue Iron Aussie-made coil tattoo machines, built by hand, one at a time, by a working tattooist and experienced tradesman.

No corporate fluff, no marketing wankery, no overseas factory churning out the same frame with fifteen different people's names slapped on it. Just good gear, made properly.

Our machines lean heavily on Australia's rich tattoo history and the look of the old workhorses that came before — one eye on what made those machines so bulletproof, the other on what's in front of us now. I've been knocking around workshops since 2012, formally trained in the engineering fabrication trade. I got my first tattoo in 2013 and finally talked my way into a shop in late 2019 — the two trades have been feeding each other ever since.

Every frame is made from raw stock in the shed. Cut, machined, TIG welded and finished by hand on old Aussie-made gear where possible, fitted with the True Blue Iron vice and the Kanga Screw — both designed and built right here. Materials sourced local wherever possible. Nothing mass produced. Nothing shipped in to save a buck.

There's always something new on the bench — fresh designs being worked through behind the scenes — so the range will keep growing over time. For now, this is what's ready to roll out the door.
